Frequently asked questions
Is this service free?
Yes. There's no cost to you to request help. Cleaning companies in our network pay for referrals. You only pay the company you hire, and you're never obligated to hire anyone.
Are you a house cleaning company?
No. We're an independent referral service. We pass your request to an independent, insured house cleaning company serving your area, and they contact you directly.
How fast will someone contact me?
Most companies reach out within a business day or two. If you need someone this week, say so in your request. Late spring, summer moving season and the holidays are busy, so scheduling can take longer then.
Do house cleaners need a license in Georgia?
Georgia doesn't require a state license for house cleaning. That makes your own vetting important: ask for a certificate of general liability insurance, whether the company is bonded, whether cleaners are employees or subcontractors, and what screening it does.
What's the difference between insured and bonded?
General liability insurance typically covers accidental damage to your property or injuries caused by the company's work. A bond, often called a janitorial or fidelity bond, is typically aimed at theft by the company's workers. Terms and claim processes vary, so ask what each one covers.
Do cleaners bring their own supplies?
Most companies bring their own products and equipment, but many will use products you provide. If anyone has allergies, asthma or chemical sensitivities, ask for fragrance-free products or products with the EPA Safer Choice label.
What if I'm not happy with a cleaning?
Many companies offer a re-clean if you report a problem within a set window, often a day or two. Ask about the policy before you book, report issues promptly with photos, and keep communication in writing.
How often should I have my house cleaned?
It depends on your household. Weekly suits homes with kids, pets or heavy kitchen use; every other week is a common middle ground; monthly works for smaller households that keep up day to day.
What's the difference between a standard and a deep clean?
A standard clean maintains surfaces, kitchens, baths and floors. A deep clean adds detail work such as baseboards, blinds, vents, door frames and buildup in kitchens and bathrooms, and usually takes considerably longer.
Will a move-out clean get my deposit back?
It can help, but no cleaner can guarantee it. Georgia law generally bars deducting normal wear and tear, while cleaning or damage beyond that may be deducted. Follow your lease and landlord checklist and photograph the unit afterward.
Why is there still dust after the cleaners leave?
Fine construction dust can stay airborne and keep settling, and the HVAC system can move it around. Many companies do a rough clean and a final clean, and changing the air filter after construction helps.
How long does an Airbnb turnover take?
It depends on the size of the property, how guests left it, and whether laundry is done on-site. Ask the company for a typical time for your property and build realistic gaps between checkout and check-in.
How long does carpet take to dry after cleaning?
It varies with the method, carpet type, airflow and humidity. Fans and air conditioning speed drying, which matters in humid Atlanta summers. Ask the company for its typical drying time.
How often should windows be cleaned?
Many homes do exterior windows once or twice a year and interiors as needed. Homes under heavy tree cover or near busy roads may need it more often.
